About Therapy

DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of talk therapy that helps people manage intense emotions, change harmful behaviors, and improve relationships. It combines two key approaches: accepting your feelings and experiences as they are while working to change unhelpful patterns. DBT teaches practical skills like handling stress, regulating emotions, communicating effectively, and staying mindful in the moment.
DBT helps clients manage emotions and behaviors using tools like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. It’s especially useful for people with intense emotions, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or conditions like Borderline Personality Disorder, eating disorders, or anxiety, etc

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based approach to address issues like anxiety, depression, stress, personality disorders, Obsessive compulsive disorder and ADHD. It uses cognitive restructuring which helps individuals identify and challenge unhelpful and negative thoughts that contribute to emotional distress. Some techniques like behavioral activation, exposure therapy and problem-solving are used to encourage engagement, challenge fears and improve overall wellbeing. Through structured sessions, clients learn practical strategies to challenge unhelpful thoughts, manage emotions, reduce fears, develop healthier coping mechanisms and lead balanced and fulfilling lives.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy that helps individuals heal from emotional distress and symptoms caused by traumatic experiences. During therapy, EMDR helps by allowing the brain to process and reframe traumatic memories, reducing their emotional intensity. It uses bilateral stimulation, like eye movements or tapping, to activate the brain’s natural healing mechanisms, enabling individuals to resolve distress, alter negative beliefs, and achieve emotional relief.
The most widespread use of EMDR is for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), including other conditions like Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Body Dysmorphia, OCD, Personality Disorders, Addiction, and Phobias.

REBT

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) focuses on the idea that emotional and behavioral disturbances are largely influenced by our beliefs about events, rather than the events themselves.

REBT helps individuals identify and challenge irrational or unhelpful beliefs that lead to negative emotions and behaviors. Through techniques like disputing, individuals learn to replace these beliefs with more realistic and constructive ones. This process enhances emotional well-being, promotes healthier behaviors, and fosters a more balanced approach to life’s challenges.

REBT is effective in addressing Anxiety and Stress, Depression, Anger management, Guilt and Shame, Phobias and Fears, Procrastination, Low Self-Esteem, Addictive behaviors (e.g., substance abuse, overeating), Relationship difficulties, and Sleep disturbances.
